This is the original picture of my favorite cognac. It's having very beautiful and interesting bottle. This glass pipe is a gift for a friend of mine and it's handmade. I took a little too difficult work for this last week, but I just like to try the glass.

Here's my painting for it. Finding a right kind of font is truly frustrating and taking a lot of time. That's why I have painted nearly all the texts and a small logos. I started from a label, then I did the top and the neck. Then start the evil work. I devide it in parts like a clock. That center around the label is made with clouds filter. Then I add different clouds filter several times and did a new layer above it for bigger color lines. The highlights and important small details are on they own layer. That helps me to correct the colors under them on that second layer. I have to be honest and tell that I did cheat in some parts by using color range. In a half way I get so tired for working with this. That really has taken whole week for me and you may see my tiredness from the glasspipe, which was the last thing I did in this picture.

I really waste too much time for these small details, which you can't see from a compressed picture. That's why I took a screenshot for the label. It's much more easier to work with a picture, which do have enought resolution. This image was in 180 dpi 2356 px x 1748 px.

Here you may see the parts and some bottom layers. I have taken eye off on the most detail layers.

This is a watch I bought from Tallin/Estonia when they still had rubles. It's golden watch and it's bought from a pawnshop in a very low price, which was 290FIM, which is about 49€/ 59$ today. When I open it, it's glass broke and I took it to goldsmith. He fix it and clean it and told me that it was made in old Jugoslavia 1946 and should be worth around 500€. When I heard, that it's so expensive I haven't bear to use it.

This work is having that original picture on the bottom layer. Then I have made paths with pen tool for every piece of it. These paths I move to selections and gave them a bottom gradient. Each piece is having 3 layers 1.bottom gradient, 2. rough colors, 3. details. The bigger numbers are made with a font and the smaller ones I have drawn as all second and minute marks.
The newspaper is having noise and gaussian blur and different shadows. Some of them is made with foreground to transparent gradient and some with Janee's Shading brush with a size around 50-200px. This letter paper is my first tryout for Susa's handmade paper tutorial. I have add some clouds and those flower figures. The flower figure is a brush. My second tryout for the paper you may found from left page of that small open book image in a the top of this page.

I like to thank you very much for voting my work in February 2006 Art Challenge. This was my second Challence entry and second trophy. All the glory goes to Janee and Joanne and to my wonderfull classmates. I wouldn't bealive I would be creating something so realistic 7 weeks ago. Janee offers a high quality course, which gives very professional current knowledge about the program and teaching how to draw. She also stimulates lively class discussions. This classroom has written over 850 messages in a 7 weeks, which tells that communication is very involved and these people do really like what they are doing. They are very talented, caring and willing to share they help, which is an extremely big part of my learning, and I have learned a lot.

Where do all these lovely people go after they have fineshed they course? Well they are still meeting each other. The place is Janee's community, where they can still ask questions or share opinions about the works they have created or just tell how they are feeling or time to time put they works in the Challenges. Many thanks for all those people who are helping that community going on.
My photorealistic course is ending now and I can't find enougt words how to thank you all for that great support I have got. I like to meet you all there in a commynity or future courses. Next I have planned to to take Janee's "Photos to Artwork" and on the summer her new course "Fixing your Photos".
See you all there while we are waiting Janee's new Podcast. Bye!
