Techniques Discovered, Research and Collection of Images, Formulating the Idea

I started this collage by making the pastel background painting using
John Derry's Tenth Street Touch brush. He's really having wonderful brush collection.

Then separated backgrounds from butterfly images. That job I did in Photoshop using a help of alpha channels and levels.

The rails image is from www.morquefile.com and it's having Stamp filter, done in Photoshop.

The flower image is made for a Nozzle and used in Image Hose brush. That was actually the hardiest part in this assignment. In some unknown reason it was very difficult to get rid of the original images background even I did discard it in Photoshop and also the alpha mask. I actually needed to remove it one more time in Painter, before it went to transparent.

When all the images where in their own layers, I played with layer blending modes and did add surface texture effect using Image Luminance option.

Both of these images do also open bigger by clicking on them. (600px x 800 px)
